BOOK REVIEW: Fallen Too Far

Title: Fallen Too Far
Author: Abbi Glines
Series: Fallen Too Far (Book One)

Description:

To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

Review:

Jesus, I've just finished this book and I'm still crying like a stupid baby, even while writing this review.
I really don't know what to say about this book other than it was so sad and painful and so intense and touching that I felt on edge all the time. I was lying there reading and sobbing and letting tears escape my eyes.
Though it wasn't all completely sad. There were some happy moments and some hot ones too. But what was there more often was pain.

The characters were all really good and I especially liked Woods, even though I thought he was bad news. Apparently I was wrong, because he seemed a good guy.
I also liked Bethy.
I hated Nanette very much.
And I'm still working my feelings on Blaire and Rush. There were things I liked about them, and there were things I didn't like.

And the ending? Oh how it broke my heart! I couldn't bear Rush crying like a desperate baby. I cried with him, too. And for him. And for Blaire. And for their relationship.
This is the kind of book that will stay with you for a long time. This is the kind of book that will give you emotions you won't be able to get over soon. This is the kind of book that will keep you awake at night (when, like in my case, you just finished it before bed time) and make you think how things could have gone differently. How things could go back being okay after all that's happened. And what will happen in Book 2 "Never Too Far" now that I know there's a sequel coming out on February 2013 and the wait will kill me until I read it and hopefully have a happy ending.

This is one of the few times when rating a book has been painfully hard.
I'm giving it 4 stars for the originality of it.

***4 stars***
