BOOK REVIEW: Vampire Academy

Title: Vampire Acadmy
Author: Richelle Mead
Series: Vampire Academy (Book One)

Description:

St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school—it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's—the very place where they're most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Review:

The first time I tried to read this book I put it aside after a few pages...bored as hell!
Then, after a year now, I wanted to give it a second chance... After all I love all Richelle Mead's books and it was really weird I didn't like Vampire Academy...
When I started reading it this time I wasn't so bored and I went on reading it, curiosity growing inside me (as usual, since I'm curious for nature!) and already after the first 20 pages I started to LOVE Rose! She's really great! And I found the relationship with Lissa really sweet and beautiful!
Let's talk about Dimitri... For the first third of the book we know almost nothing about him, and he keeps cold and distant his relationship with Rose... Untill the scene where he takes care of her hands and they start to speak and he tells her about his past and his family... God, here I started to LOVE him too!
And I'm not going to spoil anyone's fun telling here other pieces about him and Rose that I liked...
You need to read it and find out!
