BOOK REVIEW: Forever Mine

Title: Forever Mine
Author: Elizabeth Reyes
Series: The Moreno Brothers (Book One)

Description:

Seventeen-year old Sarah’s life is turned upside down when her single mom is sent to jail. She’s forced to move, leaving behind everything she’s ever known, including her best friend Sydney. Lost and bitter in a new school, her one goal is to save money and move back home. Then she meets Angel Moreno.

Enigmatic but gorgeous, Angel is almost too good to be true. Except for one thing, his archaic belief that guys and girls can never be “just friends”. The problem? Sarah’s best friend Sydney is not a girl.

With their unexpected romance intensifying to places neither ever experienced, how long can Sarah keep Angel in the dark about the guy waiting for her back home?

And if you haven't already, read the Forever Mine mini prequel on the author's blog!

Review:

Downloaded this ebook for free on Amazon during the Christmas Holidays.

It was a nice read, though kind of frustrating as well. All those love misunderstandings and couldn't believe Sarah was so stupid and naive. And it also annoyed me Angel being so stupid and too possessive. I mean, I love possessive guys, it's kind of a turn on. But there's just so much a girl can take before getting annoyed. Might also be that I believe in friendship between man and woman. I've had many male friends without feeling the impulse or the need to be/get more than friendship from them.
The other characters were very nice too. Loved particualrly Sofia and Eric. But also Valerie. Alex was at times nice and other times baffled me. We'll see later on. The coach dude was creepy as hell. And I couldn't stand Sarah defending him and believing he was a nice guy until the deed happened and she realized he was a crazy pervert.
Romero I didn't like much. I just can't bear very well guys that drink too much and get wasted. But hey, I'm not here to judge. Or am I? Yeah, I totally am!
The story was good, though the twists and turns and misunderstandings in Sarah and Angel's relationship made me anxious. But there were also some very spicy scenes between the two birds. And especially one got my attention and was veeery hot! Jesus, that guy is pure fire and passion! Wow!
So, all in all a good read. I'm curious to read the next books about the other guys.
